Bow before me, for I have been gathering evidence that I am the arbiter of gas prices. I can drive them up by running my gage below a quarter tank. I can drive them back down by filling up.
I really should apologize. Gas prices around here had been running around $2.39 for regular for a while, but this week, I putzed around and allowed my "check gage" light to come on. Since it was midnight and I was a mile from home, I said "screw it, I'll fill up in the morning." Overnight, every station within 5 miles raised their price at least six cents to $2.45. I'm sorry everyone, that's my fault. Apparently.
